What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching --- Begins where you are today and moves you toward action.
Therapy --- Focuses on past events.
Coaching --- Believes the client does not need to be fixed.
Therapy --- Assumes the client needs healing.
Coaching --- Creates solutions to barriers and teaches new skills toward change.
Therapy --- Works on resolution of internal pain and letting go of old patterns.
Coaching --- Roots in business and personal growth.
Therapy --- Roots in psychiatry and medicine.
How do I know if Life Coaching is for me?
Life coaching may be for you if any of the following statements apply to you:
I want to live a more balanced life.
I am in transition to another season of my life.
I want to live a more organized life.
I want to live a more intentional life.
I want to live a more fulfilling life that doesn't compromise my morals, values, and beliefs.
I want to achieve success but I can't figure out how to get there.
What is a sample session?
A sample session is a way for me to show you how the process of coaching works and what it looks like. It is also a way to see what Life Coaching can do for you.
How long does the coaching process take?
Once we have completed the sample session and decide to work together we will then:
- Schedule a discovery session --- A discovery session lasts about 2 hours. During this session I will get to know who you are, and discover how you are best motivated and supported. We will go over your goals and what it is you want to get from coaching. This session is a great way for me to see how best to serve you so that you will get the most from coaching.
- We will set up three 40 minute coaching sessions per month. In addition to the three sessions I will provide you with 10 minute power coaching calls when needed and I will be available through e-mail as well for additional questions you may have. I require a 3 month commitment to begin coaching.
- After three months we can evaluate where you are in relation to your goals and will proceed on a month to month basis from here.
- We can then check in on an as needed basis when events occur in your life.
